Learn About All Things Seeds

September 7 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

$15.00

Come grow with The Cibolo Center for Conservation and learn all about seeds.

This informative and engaging community event combines seed saving, seed exchange, and seed propagation. The class is perfect for gardeners of all levels who are interested in preserving, sharing, and propagating seeds. Bring your own seeds to exchange with others and discover the importance of seed banks and seed libraries in maintaining biodiversity and promoting sustainable gardening practices.

Price: $15. Get your tickets here!

In this class, you’ll learn:

  • The basics of seed saving, harvesting, cleaning, and storing seeds.
  • The role of seed banks and seed libraries in preserving genetic diversity.
  • Tips and techniques for successful seed exchange.
  • Seed propagation: starting seeds in trays and preparing for the fall garden.
  • The different mediums that go into making propagation soil, so you can create your own at home.

We’ll also provide a transplant for you to take home to start growing your fall garden. Additionally, there will be opportunities to volunteer with us and help make our community garden beautiful.

This is a community event with a $15 fee to help cover the cost of materials. Don’t miss this chance to expand your gardening knowledge, meet fellow gardening enthusiasts, and contribute to the community’s seed diversity. We look forward to seeing you there.
