The Comal County Fairgrounds have been a New Braunfels landmark since 1897. Comal Master Gardeners (CMGs) have been maintaining and improving the gardens since 2001. The Gardens are located at the Fair Ground entrance across the street from the New Braunfels City Library on Common Street and at the Grant Street entrance, off Common Street.

The Comal County Fair is always the 4th weekend in September. This is when the gardens are on display to the general public and Comal Master Gardeners provide outreach activities to the community.

Workdays are a great day to visit the Fairground Gardens as volunteer workers will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

During the Fair, CMGs also lead hands-on plant and gardening activities at the AgriLife Kid Zone. Comal Master Gardener volunteers provide potted plants and seeds, answer questions, and share general gardening information at booths and stations inside the main garden on Grant Street.
