Raingardens 101 at SABOT

February 27 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Rain gardens are a beautiful and inexpensive way to improve urban landscapes and control stormwater. Come to the San Antonio Botanical Garden to find out how rain gardens capture rainwater from surfaces like roofs and driveways, allowing water to seep into the soil and roots of plants. Guests will learn how to design a rain garden, including site selection and plant choices. The workshop will end with a guided tour to see examples of rain gardens.

Instructor: Kate Griffin, Conservation and Adult Programs Specialist, San Antonio Botanical Garden

Sponsored by San Antonio Water System

Fee: $17 ($12 member). Registration ends when class fills.
