The Tye Preston Memorial Library (TPML) Butterfly Garden in Canyon Lake was created in 2012 by the Lindheimer Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists with the support of Comal Master Gardener (CMG) volunteers.
The garden is a demonstration garden, as well as a Certified Wildlife Habitat, Certified Butterfly Garden and a Monarch Waystation, open to the public.
Workdays are a great day to visit the TPML Butterfly Garden as volunteer workers will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
The Butterfly Garden is an important part of the TPML grounds and benefits the Canyon Lake community and all residents of Comal County. Certified Master Gardeners, Master Naturalists and Trainees are welcome to assist with the garden and will receive volunteer service hours for their participation.
Location: 16311 South Access Road, Canyon Lake, TX 78133
Workdays: Workdays are scheduled on the 3rd Friday of every month at 8:30 or 9am, depending on season.
