Congratulations to Sandra and Randy Gathany and each of the CMGA volunteers who work in the Lindheimer House Gardens. The New Braunfels Garden Club Council presented a Civic Beautification Award on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
In New Braunfels, the local Civic Beautification Awards are hosted annually by the New Braunfels Garden Club Council, in conjunction with local garden clubs. These awards recognize local businesses that demonstrate outstanding efforts in landscaping and property beautification. Presenting the Award were members from three local garden clubs: Guada Coma Garden Club, Four Seasons Garden Club and Comal Garden Club.
Sandra said that “a lot of sweat equity has gone into that garden.” She and Randy appreciate “all the volunteers who help every month. Even in brutal high humidity days like today.”

Arriving prior to the award presentation provided an opportunity to capture a few photos of our wonderful CMGA volunteers at work in the gardens. Several expressed thankfulness for recent rains and the pleasure of being able to weed the lush gardens.
