Wicking Garden Container Seminar and Workshop with Larry Sunn
May 30 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Build your own 5-gallon or 55 gallon wicking water container at this seminar and workshop at Garden Ridge Library on Saturday, May 30. Please note that the correct time is 10 AM-noon.
Note that the seminar and workshop themselves are FREE. Bring your own supplies (see next paragraph) to make a 5-gallon wicking garden container for free. *There is a $40 charge for a 55-gallon drum and other materials needed to make a large wicking garden container.
If anyone would like to build their own 5-gallon wicking container, which is a great size for a single tomato, cucumber, or pepper plant– they should bring one 5- gallon bucket, without holes, and one 1-gallon plastic container for each unit they plan to make. Neither container should have drainage holes.
*55-gallon drums and other needed materials will be available at the workshop for a fee of $40 for each large wicking container that you plan to make and take home.
Participants can pay via cash or check made payable to “Larry Sunn” with “Wicking Containers” in the memo line.
Please contact Norreen Campbell at 210-268-8088 if you will be attending the workshop.
